Starting at Pioneer Square and extending north, a little more than 1.5 miles, is the Central Waterfront area of Seattle. Once the commercial shipping hub of the city, now restaurants, shops, and attractions occupy the area in between the Trans Alaska Highway and the Puget Sound. The latest attraction is the massive, 175’ tall, Seattle Great Wheel. The Great Wheel offers breathtaking views and wondrous light shows. Neighbored by the Seattle Aquarium, the Ferry Terminal, and surrounded by places to shop and eat; Pier 57 has become the place to be for fun in Seattle.
