Formula D transports you into the turbulent world of Formula 1. Don't lose control of the engine in the last bottleneck, master the chicane, stick to your opponent's back wheels, take advantage of the slipstream and then coolly overtake them...A Formula 1 pilot has to be willing to take risks and be able to plan ahead - at least if you want to get to the very top of the winners' podium.
Players have to rely on considerable planning (and luck) to win this race to the finish. Each turn, everyone must choose whether to increase or decrease the gear their in, as the higher the gear the bigger the die you roll to move, but also the farther you can move on average and the bigger the risks. The track is unfortunately littered with turns, so braking is a must unless you want to crash and burn.
This updated version of the classic racing game includes daring illegal street races through crowded metropolitan streets and back alleys. The principles remain the same, but now you can customize your car, fire off nitro boosts in the straightaways, and drive as dirty as you want—if you can get away with it. New cars, new drivers, and new tracks await in this exciting twist on the original classic.
