RECAP - Moonshot Invitational - 8/7/21

We're almost 1/3 of the way through our 2021 Invitational series, wrapping up our fifth $1K Magic: the Gathering tournament from this past Saturday, August 7th. We were back at our Mass Ave Location for this event, which also saw a return to the Modern format after a couple of weeks of Limited AFR events.

Andrew Branham was able to take home the win for the day, marking his second victory in our Invitational series, and was followed by Clay Spicklemire in second place.  Clay placed third in our last event, so he's steadily moving up the ranks and could get a win under his belt very soon.  Both of these players are going to be ones to watch in our $10K Championship this November!

With Andrew's second win, he's now nipping at points leader James Moskal's heels with only a 2-point deficit.  Clay moved himself into third place in the overall standings, and several other players have moved up in the ranks as well. This coming Saturday's Tournament will be back at our Noblesville location, and will be another Modern format event. Registrations are now open for all remaining events in the series.  We highly encourage purchasing your entry early, as the first few events have sold out.

The Moonshot Invitational Series consists of 17 $1K events from June through October that qualify players for a $10K tournament on November 6th. Full details here.
