What do you buy?
We buy Magic the Gathering and Pokemon cards. Primarily singles, but we will also buy sealed product. We also buy decks, opened pre-cons and complete sets. Basically, if it's Magic/Pokemon cards...we're in!

How do I need to prepare my collection to have you buy it?
We will take your cards in whatever format you have them. Our process requires us to unsleeve all cards and remove them all from binders. So if you have extra time and want to speed up the process you can do this ahead of time...though we're happy to do it for you.

Do you buy bulk?
Yes, but...we want to buy bulk as part of a collection. We leave it up to our buylisters if the bulk brought in is worth while to make an offer on.

Do you buy foreign cards?
Yes. We will buy all Magic and Pokemon cards. We typically offer a reduced rate for foreign cards as they are harder to sell, but we will buy them.

Do you buy damaged cards?
Yes. We buy them at damaged prices, but we'll take them.

Do you buy signed cards?
Yes. It may impact the price (sometimes we have to consider signatures as damaged cards), but we will buy signed cards.

Do you buy slabbed cards?
Yes.

How do I get the most value from my cards?
When we buylist cards, we first split any inbound collection into two piles: bulk (anything under $2) and non-bulk (anything over $2 ). From there, we unsleeve any non-bulk cards and price those individually. We use a variety of resources when buying TCG products. The amount we pay may vary based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, condition, current inventory, and our expected speed of selling the items

Note that we do not have a flat percentage that we pay.

I've heard there are limits on cash, is that true?
Yes. To minimize cash on hand we limit any cash transactions to $1,000. If your collection is more than that we pay with PayPal.

Do you pay more if I opt for store credit?
Yes. If you choose store credit in lieu of cash we will offer a bonus on our offer. Each offer is different based on the collection, but most people that shop regularly at Moonshot choose store credit because your money goes a lot farther.

Will you give me an itemized breakdown of how much you paid for each card?
In most situations we offer a print out of the itemized cards (over $2) that we are purchasing.
