Gelatinous Cube

Our fourth $1K Magic: the Gathering tournament took place this past Saturday, July 31st, and was the first of our $1K events to take place at our Noblesville location. This event was the second of our Limited format events and gave all of our players a challenge to put together the best deck possible using 6 packs from the new D&D: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms set.

James Moskal secured 1st place, earning himself both a spot in our November $10K Championship and a hefty points total for the overall tournament. John Qualkenbush was also able to earn his way into our November Championship by securing second place in our Saturday event.

Things are really starting to heat up on the overall points standings, as we saw quite a few shake-ups coming out of Saturday's event. We now had a clear points leader, with James Moskal leading the pack at 33 overall points. There's now a 5-way tie for second place at 21 points, and two people are tied for third with 20 points. This coming Saturday's Tournament will be back at our Mass Ave location, and will be a Modern format event.  It will be very interesting to see how players are integrating the new AFR set into their Modern decks! Registrations are now open for all remaining events in the series.  We highly encourage purchasing your entry early, as the first few events have sold out.

The Moonshot Invitational Series consists of 17 $1K events from June through October that qualify players for a $10K tournament on November 6th. Full details here.

We hope to see you there!
