Our third $1K Magic: the Gathering tournament took place this past Saturday, July 24th. This event was the first of our Limited format events and gave all of our players a challenge to put together the best deck possible using 6 packs from the new D&D: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms set.

Andrew Branham was able to put together a deck worthy of securing him a 1st place win for the day, and Garett Nickels was able to best the rest of the field and snag second place.  Both players also qualified for our $10k Invitational in November. We now have a 3-way tie for first place in the overall points totals with Bob Culp, Chase Lamm, and Andrew Branham all sitting at 21 total points and all three having qualified for the Championship.  Kodie Yost and Joshua Satterfield are holding strong tied in second place at 20 points each, but are both still looking for a win to guarantee their place in the $10K.  For a full list of the current standings in the Moonshot Invitational Series, along with all players' current point totals, click here.

We're continue to be blown away by the support of the Indiana Magic Community for making this series a success, and we can't wait to keep the momentum going this coming weekend with our first $1K Tournament at our Noblesville store this Saturday, 7/31.  Saturday's Tournament will be another Limited format featuring AFR before we head back down to Mass Ave on 8/7 for our next Modern Format Qualifier. Registrations are now open for all remaining events in the series.  We highly encourage purchasing your entry early, as the first few events have sold out.

The Moonshot Invitational Series consists of 17 $1K events from June through October that qualify players for a $10K tournament on November 6th. Full details here.

We hope to see you there!
