RECAP - Moonshot Invitational - 10/16/21

Our Series of $1K Qualifier events is nearing an end, and this past week we held our latest event in the Series on 10/16 at our Noblesville Store.  This was another Standard Format event in our series, and we're really starting to see how the new meta in Standard is taking shape after the rotation.

Mono Green/Black Aggro seem to be the decks to beat right now, as all of our top 3 finishers were able to take home top honors utilizing those builds.  Donne Wise's Mono Green Aggro deck helped him secure the top spot and claimed first place on the day, while Mitch Keiser's Mono Black Aggro scored him a second-place finish and an invite to our Championship $10K Event next month.  Jordan Hicks also rocked a Mono Green Aggro deck and claimed 3rd Place along with an invite to the Championship since Donnie Wise had already qualified.  

 

James Moskal still holds the overall points lead was with 101 points, and is still the only player to have earned a 2-Round Bye in the series.  Andrew Branham is still in second place with 79 total points in the overall standings.  Abraham Schnake rounds out the top three, holding strong with 68 total points.  There are only TWO events left in the Moonshot Invitational Series!  For a full list of the current standings in the Moonshot Invitational Series, along with all players' current point totals, click here.

This Saturday's Tournament will be the final event in our $1K Series before the $10K Championship at our Mass Ave Store, and will be a Limited Format event for the Innistrad: Midnight Hunt set.
